What is ACPL 2025?

The Assam Chess Premier League 2025 is an exclusive team-based chess tournament featuring titled and rated players. With a total prize pool of ₹5,00,000, this event aims to elevate the competitive chess scene in Assam while offering players a unique platform to showcase their talent.

Key Highlights of ACPL 2025

  • Total Teams: 8
  • Team Ownership Auction: Own and name your team
  • Player Auction: Build your squad with titled and rated players

Auction and Team Composition

The league follows an auction system where team owners bid for players. The player base prices are as follows:

  • Grandmaster (GM): ₹15,000
  • International Master (IM): ₹12,000
  • Rating 2000-2399: ₹10,000
  • Rating 1700-1999: ₹8,000
  • Rating 1400-1699: ₹5,000

Team Guidelines:

  • Each team must have 6 players + 1 coach
  • Mandatory Players:
    • 1 Female player from Assam
    • 2 Male players from Assam
  • Total Team Rating Cap: 15,000 (Minimum: 12,000)
