📢 Senior National Arbiters Seminar & Examination 2025 in Agartala

The All India Chess Federation (AICF), in collaboration with the All Tripura Chess Association, is delighted to announce the Senior National Arbiters Seminar & Examination, to be held on 21st and 22nd August 2025 at the Meeting Hall of the State Office of All Tripura Chess Association, located at Banerjee Para, Bidurkarta Chowmohani, Agartala.

This two-day seminar is an excellent opportunity for aspiring chess arbiters to gain official recognition and enhance their knowledge under the guidance of experienced International Arbiters.

📅 Important Dates:

  • Seminar & Exam Dates: 21st – 22nd August 2025

  • Last Date to Register: 10th August 2025 (or earlier if 40-45 seats are filled)

✅ Who Can Apply?

  • Indian nationals who are 17 years of age or older as on 21st August 2025.

  • Passionate chess enthusiasts who want to become certified arbiters and contribute to the chess ecosystem.

⚠️ Note: The registration form will close once we receive 40-45 valid entries, subject to seat availability.

📩 Selection Process:

  • After registration, the list of applicants will be forwarded to their respective State Chess Associations for mandatory recommendation.

  • Final confirmation will be sent via email to selected participants after the recommendation process.

  • Refunds will be issued promptly to those not selected.

🧳 Travel & Accommodation:

  • All participants must arrange their own travel and stay.

  • Do not make bookings until your selection is confirmed.

📚 Course Material:

Participants will be provided with the Arbiters’ Manual at the venue. However, they are strongly encouraged to study the following topics in advance:

  • Laws of Chess

  • Swiss Pairing System

  • Rating Regulations

  • Tiebreak Rules

  • Anti-Cheating Regulations

  • Arbiter Regulations

  • Competition Rules

  • Standards of Chess Equipment

  • Basic Concepts of Title Regulations
