This league proudly announces that all participating players must be from Assam. The aim is clear – to showcase the depth of chess talent our state holds and give local players the stage they truly deserve. Every team that registers is not only representing a club but also carrying forward the legacy of Assam’s chess culture.

👥 Team Format – United We Stand

Unlike traditional individual tournaments, this event celebrates teamwork. Each team will consist of:

  • 4 Players (open to all, no restriction of gender)

  • 1 Reserve Player allowed

  • Multiple teams from the same club, institute, academy, or school can participate

This flexibility ensures inclusivity, while also encouraging healthy competition within clubs and institutions. FIDE’s principle of accessibility is reflected here – no talent should remain hidden, every player should get a chance.

⏳ The Rapid Test of Nerves

The chosen Rapid Time Control (15+5) ensures high-energy games filled with creativity and quick decisions. As per FIDE recognition, rapid chess is the perfect mix – it demands precision like classical chess but tests nerves like blitz. A true champion is one who can balance both.

🥇 Knockout Format – Where Every Match is Do or Die

With only 64 teams allowed in the knockout system, every single match becomes a final. The stakes are high, the tension is real, and the rewards are massive:

  • Winner: ₹50,000

  • Runner-Up: ₹30,000

  • 2nd Runner-Up: ₹20,000

Just like in the Olympiad or World Cup formats, the knockout journey rewards only the strongest, most united teams.
